MIC Youth steps into to assist the family of the late Sean Jayabalan.

Kuala Lumpur – MIC National Deputy Youth Leader, Mr. Andrew David have attended the case of deceased Sean whom the family claims that the body of the deceased is being refused to be released by Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. It was reported that the 26 year old, late Sean Jayabalan passed away due to a fatal accident.
The news has been making rounds on social media and was addressed by MIC Youth.
“I rushed to HUKM to get an explanation from the Forensic Department. According to the HUKM Forensic Department, the body of the deceased has been allowed to be claimed by the family since last Tuesday but failed to be claimed until today. To get a clearer picture I have met with Prof. Haniza (Deputy Director of HUKM), Datin Aniza (Head of Pathology Department) and En. Mukriz (Director of Hospital Registrar) who had further clarified that the late Sean was COVID19 Positive and should abide by the prescribed SOP procedures.” Said Andrew David.
The hospital has clarified it was found that the deceased had just returned from a holiday in Langkawi and a second test was conducted to identify other variant infections. The second result was found to be positive for COVID19. The Director of HUKM is ready to meet with the family to explain the issue of the actual incident to solve this problem.
Andrew David further explained, “ I met with the Investigating Officer from PDRM, Insp. Hasniza who is handling this case. I understand that the father of the deceased has reported that there is an element of doubt in his son’s case. The PDRM promised to fully investigate to get justice for the late Sean. I hope the family and the hospital will find an amicable solution to solve this issue.”
